Michelle and Dom got married at the Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol. It was such a cool alternative wedding with quirky decor everywhere amazing vegan food and incredible DJ set to keep guests entertained. Michelle and Dom are the COOLEST couple, it was a match made in heaven from our first zoom call and I could not wait to capture their day!
The ceremony took place in the Spielman Centre at Arnos Vale Cemetery and was decorated with fairy lights and uber cool moon decor and florals which looked lovely. The ceremony included a reading by Dom’s grandpa and the couple saying personal vows they’d written themselves, there was not a dry eye in the place! Honestly, it was such a moving occasion, full of nervous giggles and pure love.
After the ceremony, we had a confetti aisle, which was absolutely hilarious, and I got some really fun photos of the confetti moment. The weather at the wedding was a real mixed bag, but that didn’t put a dampener on moods!
The evening reception was held across the Anglican Chapel and the Spielman Centre. Arnos Vale Cemetery is such a perfect venue for weddings because it has so many options, and it’s got such a spectacular vibe, especially in the Anglican Chapel when the sunlight hits the windows!
For the reception, the couple had some amazing speeches in the Anglican Chapel. Guests were then called for the meal which was a mixture of vegan street food and OMG – it was delicious.
After the meal was finished, they cut the cake, and the party got started. The DJ’s played all the best songs to get everyone dancing. The evening ended with everyone piling on to the dance floor, which was so much fun, you could literally see that everyone had such a great time. The whole day was everything I love about alternative weddings, from the beautiful vows to the amazing vegan food and rock DJ’s, honestly it was the BEST day ever.
