IF YOU’RE PLANNING A LONDON ELOPEMENT OR MICRO WEDDING, YOU’LL LOVE THIS WEDDING!
When Kylie and Ferran first got in touch with me about their elopement, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most romantic city wedding with an intimate ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Kylie and Ferran are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The first look
I started at the gorgeous Marylebone Town Hall, where Ferran and his friends were relaxing before the big event, it was a really chilled enovironment, and they were so happy to see each other. Kylie wore a knee-length dress with a matching (and uber stylish cape) and Ferran wore a dapper black tuxedo and they looked really incredible. Being from New York, Kylie and Ferran decided to have a first look before their ceremony outside of Marylebone Town Hall. Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE shooting first looks, there’s something so magical and romantic about them!
The ceremony
The wedding took place in the newly decorated Pimlico Room at Marylebone Town Hall, and was a beautiful intimate ceremony. They had their own vows, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they had a sweeping first kiss, and we headed outside where they were showered with confetti.
After the ceremony, Kylie, Ferran and I snuck off to do some couple portraits around the streets. After that we walked over to the Gardens where we met up with their guests and took some more chilled group photos and had some drinks to celebrate.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect for photos. My absolute favourite photo from our wander around the city is definitely from Kylie and Ferran dancing behind the Town Hall to their wedding song in the sunshine. Check it out below!
The afternoon
The wedding reception took place over in Pimlico at the amazing Enoteca Turi. Enoteca Turi is an gorgeous intimate Italian restaurant, which they’d decorated with flowers that they’d received and repurposed from family that couldn’t be there on the day! Which is literally such a good idea and it gave the room a really personal touch, the whole space was really unique and fitted in perfectly.
While the guests enjoyed canapes and mingled, I started snapping some candid shots, I think candids are some of my favourite shots to get in the evening time.
During the reception, more guests arrived and they all celebrated with amazing cocktails, wine and food and finished the night off with some incredible speeches.
My top tip for planning an intimate wedding
My number one tip for planning a micro wedding, is not to get too disheartened on what could’ve been and to enjoy it, it may not be the way you originally planned but having the chance to really tailor your wedding plans to you as a couple and that can make for a really incredible and intimate wedding.
