If you’re planning a South Wales wedding, you’ll find tons of inspo from this wedding!
When Grace and Carl first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a really fun and relaxed wedding with an outdoor ceremony and drinks in the garden for the reception. Grace and Carl are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The excitement before the wedding
I’ve been so excited for Grace and Carl, they had to postpone due to COVID and it feels like we’d been waiting for their day forever! I started at Holm House, where the bride and her friends were getting ready together, and it was so fun, because everyone was ins such a good mood. Grace wore a gorgeous fitted lace dress and Carl wore a navy suit and they both looked really amazing.
The ceremony
The wedding took place at Holm House, and was a romantic outdoor ceremony. They had a beautiful registrar led ceremony which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from all of the guests as they walked back down the aisle, and then the celebrations began. My favourite photo from our couples session is the photo of the two of them during the confetti tunnel. Check it out below!
The afternoon
It was a bright and sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests mingled and enjoyed ice creams and GnTs, I did some family photos.
The wedding reception took place Holm House, which they’d decorated with wildflowers and candles, it all looked so stunning.
During the reception they had a live band, which went down a storm. For the wedding breakfast they had a buffet, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and made their way over to the dancefloor for their first dance!
Here is Grace and Carl’s wedding story.
