If you’re planning an Edgbaston Hotel wedding, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
When Colette and Nyron first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a laid back city wedding with a church ceremony and drinks in the garden for the reception. Colette and Nyron are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Bridal prep
I started at the Edgbaston Hotel, where the bridal party were getting ready together, and it was really exciting, because everyone was in a good mood. Colette wore a classic white dress and Nyron wore a navy suit and they looked really incredible.
The vows
The wedding took place at the church close by, and was a romantic religious ceremony. They had a beautiful reading, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we travelled to the reception.
The party
The wedding reception took place in the Edgbaston Hotel, which they’d decorated with florals and candles. It was so stunning.
It was a slightly rainy day, which wasn’t in the plan but the couple didn’t mind. While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photo from the afternoon is the one of Colette and Nyron outside the venue. Check it out below!
During the reception they had a lovely meal with friends and family, which went down a storm. For the food they had traditional Caribbean food, and it was loved by all the guests. Afterwards, the couple cut the wedding cake and the party got started. They also had a DJ, which kept everyone entertained.
