When Phee and CK first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so INSANELY excited!! – they were planning the most exciting and fun wedding with an intimate ceremony and an amazing party and great food for the reception. Phee and CK are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The excitement before the wedding
I started at Phee’s Mum’s house, where Phee and her wedding party were getting ready together, it was so relaxed, Phee was super chilled out and she did her own hair and make up! When I arrived everyone was in such a good mood because the sun was shining. Phee wore a gorgeous off the shoulder Reformation dress and GOLD PRADA SHOES!
Whilst I was with Phee, my amazing second shooter Szerdi was over with CK and their wedding party! They all looked like they had so much fun hanging out and finishing off last minute prep for the wedding day! CK wore an incredible velvet gold blazer with a black shirt and trousers and Dr Marten shoes and they looked AWESOME.
The ceremony
The wedding took place at the stunning Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh, and was a romantic intimate ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they had a dramatic first kiss, and then everyone headed to the bar.
The reception
The wedding reception took place in the main room at The Old Parish Rooms, which they’d decorated with candles and green florals, it literally looked like something from a magazine!! It was so stunning.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our couples session is probably the chilled out snaps that Szerdi and I got just wandering around outside the venue, everyone who knows me knows I love the city vibe!
During the reception they some incredible and heartwarming speeches and a game of ‘guess who’, which went down a storm. For dinner some amazing grazing table styled food, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, the couple cut the wedding cake and the party got started. We even snuck out to do a couple more couple snaps when Phee got changed into her second dress which looked amazing! They also had a Spotify playlist which guests had submitted all their songs to beforehand, which was a huge hit.
Advice for planning your wedding
I say it all the time but make sure that you do you on your wedding day!
