THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER WEDDING FILLED WITH GORGEOUS DETAILS, A BEAUTIFUL CHURCH AND SOME HEARTWARMING SPEECHES!
(Thanks to Miles Hart for having me along to second shoot!)
Groom Prep
I began the morning at Alex and Christina’s home, where the boys were enjoying a pre-wedding drink, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Alex and the boys all wore lovely navy suits with tweed accents and Christina wore an amazing lace A-line wedding dress and they looked so incredible. Christina had left some gifts in a Groom Box and a lovely card for Alex to open during the morning preparations! The boys finished off the morning with a cocktail before heading off to the church.
The serious part
The wedding took place in a beautiful quiet area of Wiltshire in a lovely small church, it was a beautiful religious ceremony. The intimate Wiltshire Church was filled with gorgeous florals, candles and beautiful order of services finished with calligraphy and silk ribbon. The couple also had an amazing choir, who were great at setting the mood for the day. Especially when they started singing ‘Shackles’ by Mary Mary! After the ceremony they had a sweeping first kiss, and then we did a confetti tunnel outside the church door. After that the grooms party escorted the wedding guests to their cars wearing hi-vis vests printed with Usher lyrics which was brilliant. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings and I don’t know why no one has ever thought of it before!
After the ceremony
The wedding reception took place in the gardens of The Manor House in Castle Coombe, which was perfect thanks to the warm weather! It was gorgeous.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the couple mingled while I took candids. Some of my favourite photos from the wedding reception were some of the candid reactions.
During the reception they had a magician, which went down a storm. It made for some amazing reaction shots. Being a wedding photographer, you get to see a lot of wedding entertainment and I alway love magicians because of the crowd reactions they get, which always lead to some lovely natural wedding photographs! They had the wedding breakfast in the main room of The Manor House which was a gorgeous room filled with beautiful fine art styled decor and stained glass windows. (Literally a photographer’s dream!) For the wedding breakfast meal they had proper wedding grub, and it was loved by all the guests. After the wedding breakfast they had some wonderful speeches, especially from the bride’s younger brother who gave a touching tribute to their father who had recently passed away. After the wedding speeches, the band kicked off the party upstairs and the couple had their first dance. The night was so much fun, the couple had a hilarious photobooth and a sweet cart filled with lots of treats, which kept everyone entertained!
Here’s their fine art styled, elegant, Manor House wedding!
