Rebecca and James got married at Wise Wedding, which is a quirky woodland venue in Tunbridge Wells with stunning grounds. Words cannot describe the day, it was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot and even the weather played ball! The couple got in touch with me this year, and their enquiry was so fun. They said they didn’t care about anything except having an epic party, and I loved that they were so relaxed.
Getting hitched
The ceremony was a beautiful service in a woodland clearing, led by Bec’s best friend! (I know right, literal goals) During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading, I love humanist ceremonies for this reason, it was such a personal and heartfelt service and there wasn’t a dry eye throughout.
They decorated the area with so many fun touches and so much colour, the whole venue looked incredible. After the ceremony, we had a confetti tunnel in the woods before making our way through the trees to the reception! The reception was over in the main tipi at Wise Wedding, where they also had lawn games, cocktails and canapes! I love this venue because you can totally personalise it.
The couple
Rebecca wore a gorgeous lace dress and a dried flower crown and James wore an amazing tweed suit (Szerdi and I nearly died when he told us it was from Moss Bros!)) and they both looked absolutely perfect. The two of them looked like actual rockstars on their wedding day and I am obsessed.
The party
The couple had lawn games in the afternoon, and a festival styled music event full of their insanely talented friends performing on stage in the evening. I feel like Rebecca and James’ day was honestly a thing of dreams, I kept having to pinch myself on the day to remind myself that this is real life and I have the best job in the world. For dinner they had some amazing food, and the first dance was to their favourite song and involved everyone wearing masquerade masks. After the dancing, the DJ started up and the dancefloor was packed all evening, right before I left, we snuck off for a sparkler exit.

Weddings here are amazing, the surroundings are so unusual and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos. It really does offer a great atmosphere for a wedding.
