Georgie and Charlie got married at Thorpe Garden, which is a modern barn in Staffordshire with stunning grounds. It was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
Bride prep
I started the day with Georgie at her parent’s (gorgeous!!) house, where she was getting ready with her bridal party, it was so much fun and so chilled out. Georgie wore a beautiful lace dress with an amazing lace beaded veil! The boys got ready further away so my amazing second photographer Szerdi went to meet them over at the church where they arrived in a Land Rover and then headed straight to the pub (typical boys!) for a beer before the ceremony!
The ceremony
The ceremony was a beautiful service in their local church. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading from Georgie’s sister. It was such a personal and heartfelt service.
They decorated the area with gorgeous florals and candles, which I loved. After the ceremony everyone headed off to the reception! The reception was held in the main barn at Thorpe Garden – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits.
After the ceremony
The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and an intimate reception with family and friends with some amazing speeches in the evening. For dinner they had proper wedding grub which looked incredible!! After some sparklers and confetti the couple headed inside for the first dance was a romantic slow dance which had everyone in tears. They finished off the evening with an amazing performance by The Souljers which got everyone on the dancefloor.

The couple got in touch with me a while ago, and their enquiry was really touching. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they were so fun. Shooting relaxed weddings is 100% our kinda vibe!
