Sam and Alex got married at the gorgeous Beaconside House, which is a modern barn in Devon with stunning grounds, accommodation for wedding guests! The accommodation is beautiful, with lots of secluded spots AND the main house even has a swimming pool. It was the most amazing wedding and the sun shone all day long!
Bride and groom prep
One of the best things about Beaconside House is the exclusivity! We started at the main house and the lodge where the couple and the wedding party were getting ready together, everyone was in such a good mood and the sun was shining.
Sam wore a classic white off the shoulder dress with gorgeous neckline and Alex wore a smart blue suit with braces and a bowtie and they looked really gorgeous. Literally, you’d think they were out of a movie, they both looked so incredible!!
Getting hitched
The ceremony was an intimate service under a flower arch in the gardens. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family, which brought guests to tears, it was so meaningful and personalised!
They decorated the ceremony area with some amazing flowers and foliage, which as a dedicated plant mum, I loved obvs!! The reception was in the barn at Beaconside House – I love this venue because it has so many great places for portraits and you can have the place for the weekend. Weddings at Beaconside House are amazing, because the grounds are absolutely amazing.
After the ceremony
The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and the COOLEST London black cab photobooth I’ve ever seen in the evening.
For dinner they had an incredible three course meal, seriously the food there is *chef’s kiss* They then had some amazing heartfelt speeches, watching their friends and family talk about the two of them, you could really tell how much they loved each other!
The couple decided not to do a traditional first dance so Sam and Alex decided to involve the wedding party to get on the dancefloor to get the party going. The band were incredible and went down a storm!! They finished off the evening with woodfired pizzas and an amazing sunset.

It’s such an incredible venue, you really do need the three days to fully appreciate it! Make sure to fully explore all of the gorgeous parts of the venue and keep an eye out for an epic sunset!!
