LAUREN AND CHRIS’ WEDDING WAS A GORGEOUS, FUN AND RELAXED DAY AT THE BEAUTIFUL KINGSCOTE BARN IN TETBURY. THEY HAD GORGEOUS FLOWER INSTALLATIONS, FRISBEES MATCHES, LAWN GAMES AND A BEAUTIFUL, HEARTFELT CEREMONY.
Lauren and Chris got married last summer at the gorgeous Kingscote Barn, which is a quirky venue in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. It was a beautiful day and the sun shone all day long! Thanks to Piers Cunliffe for having me there as the second photographer.
Getting ready
Chris got ready in the Tuppence Barn with his friends and close family, and there was such a calm vibe. The ban was only up the road from Kingscote and had gorgeous lighting. He wore a fitted grey suit, and looked so dapper. The boys then drove the short trip to get to the ceremony.
The serious part
The ceremony took place in the gorgeous main room in the Kingscote Barn. The ceremony area was a beautiful room, which was covered in fairy lights, it made the room super romantic. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading, and finished with a dramatic first kiss. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of excited hand squeezes and so much love.
After the ceremony, the couple mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos. Then we went for couples portraits, which I love doing. I got some beautiful portrait photos outdoors – having two photographer is always a great idea because it gives you more chances to capture different angles. The weather was perfect, it was a stunning day.
The afternoon
Lauren and Chris chose to have their wedding at Kingscote Barn because it has so many options, and the light is gorgeous. Kingscote Barn is a shabby chic barn, and it’s got such an rustic vibe, especially in the main room when the candles and fairy lights are glowing.
For the reception, the couple had set up cocktails and lawn games for their guests, and everyone had a blast – they even had a couple of intense matches of frisbee. Everyone was then called in for the wedding breakfast, which was proper wedding grub. It was so yummy. They had speeches after the dinner, which were so emotional – especially the speech from the best man.
The party
After the meal was finished, they cut the cake, and the party got started. The live band kept everyone entertained all evening.
The evening ended with a gorgeous first dance, which was just stunning – you could see how proud both of the family were. The whole wedding was just the happiest occasion, from the bride’s awesome dress to the awesome live band. These guys were definitely my kind of couple. I loved working with them! One of the best parts of the wedding was the afternoon reception, because it was so different to anything that I had seen before. The decor was also a talking point of the wedding – I loved the use of the floral hoop installations.
I loved this luxe / rustic Kingscote Barn wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a quirky / fun wedding photographer, get in touch.
