LEESHA IS AN AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER! SHE HAS SUCH A KEEN EYE FOR CAPTURING THE MOST MAGICAL MOMENTS ON BOTH OUR ENGAGEMENT SHOOT AND WEDDING DAY. SO MANY OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE COMMENTED ON HOW GREAT THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE SO WE CAN’T THANK LEESHA ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING SHE HAS DONE FOR US.
Tamara and Mathew got married in August at the lovely Greek Cypriot, which is a huge venue in Birmingham. They had their ceremony at Sandwell Registry Office, which was the perfect setting. It was a beautiful day and the sun shone all day long!
The excitement before the wedding
Tamara got ready at the Marriott Hotel in Birmingham with her close family and bridal party, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The preparations were beautiful, and the bridal party got Tamara some wonderful gifts. The girls then took a fancy wedding car to get to the ceremony. Mathew got ready just across the road with close family. He travelled to the ceremony by car with the groomsmen.
The wedding
The ceremony was a legal ceremony in the city at the local Registry Office. The Sandwell Registry Office is decorated beautifully, it’s light and airy and has lots of outdoor space for photos. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was a real tear-jerker and so personal. Especially the reading by one of the bridesmaids Nicole.
After the ceremony
The reception was in a beautiful room at the Greek Cypriot. They chose the venue because it’s so cosy and relaxed and they could totally personalise it. It was a relaxed wedding, which suited the couple perfectly. I love shooting relaxed weddings because it’s usually really chilled. The venue was perfect, it had lots of open space and was decorated beautifully.
For dinner they had traditional Caribbean food, which was absolutely delicious. Everyone who knows me knows I’m a real foodie and I love Caribbean food. The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they finished off the evening with sparklers.
The best part of the day was the ceremony, because it was so romantic and personal. They also had a dance to the song Candy, which the whole family joined in on during the party – it was the first time I’ve seen that at a wedding!
The couple
Tamara wore a beautiful mermaid styled gown and Mathew wore a fitted blue suit and they looked so perfect. Tamara’s jewellery was perfect and even included a beautiful necklace for her grandmother and Mathew’s suit colours complimented him perfectly.
The couple met online and have been together for 3. They got in touch with me last year and their enquiry was so personal. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they were so fun. There’s nothing better that when you just really click as a couple.
Tamara and Mathew’s wedding was so much fun and so laid back. Here’s their relaxed wedding!
