If you’re planning a wedding at Grange Barn in Cheshire, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
HOLY SHIT, words cannot explain how amazing this day was!! These two are literally couple goals and we were SO excited for their wedding!
Bec and Jay got married at Grange Barn, which is a modern barn in Cheshire with stunning grounds. It was a super fun relaxed wedding, with so much colour everywhere and lots of cheery banter to keep guests entertained.
Honestly they had everything, smoke bombs, the most amazing confetti shot ever AND Bec had two dresses. I knew it was going to be a good day when both Luke and Kaye texted me simultaneously on the day saying that it was probably the best wedding they’ve ever been too.
The relaxed wedding
The whole day was held at Grange Barn over in Cheshire which is a gorgeous family run modern barn. The venue is perfect for weddings because it has so many options, and it’s got such a atmospheric vibe, especially outdoors when the sun goes down.
The ceremony
The ceremony was a beautiful service which took place outside in the sunshine, and was decorated with hay bales and florals, which was lovely. The ceremony included a beautiful reading from one of the bridesmaids, and I think the photos speak for themselves when I say it was such a moving occasion, full of love.
After the ceremony, they had a confetti aisle, which was so much fun, and the team got some cool photos as they enjoyed the afternoon!! I’ve said it 100 times but THIS is what I mean when I say buy lots of confetti! I will now be using Bec and Jay’s wedding as the benchmark for confetti, so future couples reading this, you now know the goal.
The party
They decorated the Barn area with neon signage, the most amazing cake and lots of colour, especially pinks! (Hello, my fav colour!) The reception was in the barn at Grange Barn – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for photos.
The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a DJ in the evening who played some amazing songs! For dinner they had posh fish and chips and some incredible and really heartfelt speeches to follow. I don’t think I’ve ever been so emotional looking through the photos during the speeches!
Afterwards the team snuck the couple outside for some golden hour shots out in the field before heading back in time for Bec to change just before the first dance. They had their first dance to I Love You Always, Forever by Donna Lewis (peep the vinyl as the guestbook too!)
The couple
Bec wore a gorgeous dress with lace embroidery and Jay wore braces and a bow tie and Dr Martens shoes and they both looked really incredible. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen were all in black and believe it or not, this is our first ever wedding with all the wedding party wearing black and I hope it’s not the last because look how cool they all look!
The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry really intrigued me. Bec and Jay said they didn’t care about anything except having an epic party, and I loved that they were so fun. Although I was gutted that I was unavailable, I was so glad the team were free.
When the team got to the wedding they both immediately texted me to say how amazing it all looked and how lush everyone was and OMG they were right! Big shoutout to Kaye and Luke for shooting the day, they did an amazing job and I know that they both had an incredible time!
