If you love a good party then you’ll love this non traditional wedding!
Amy and Matt got married at the lovely Kings Chapel, in Amersham. It was a super fun non traditional wedding, with gorgeous florals and a pink theme (obsessed!) as the main decor as well as a photo booth, amazing band and shit loads of cool sunglasses to keep guests entertained.
The ceremony took place in the main room at Kings Chapel in Amersham, and was lit with fairy lights and candles, which looked so good! Amy and Matt had a civil ceremony which included lots of nervous giggles and heartfelt moments as well as a few tears. It was such a sweet occasion, full of lots of laughter, you can really tell how excited these two were to get married and I love that.
After the ceremony, we had a confetti aisle, which was honestly fucking amazing, Amy and Matt fully understood the assignment when I say buy shit loads of confetti, and I got some hilarious photos as they enjoyed the afternoon. The weather at the wedding was a real mixed bag, which is typical for May but that didn’t bother them at all.
The reception was held in the same room as the ceremony and it was stunning. Kings Chapel in Amersham is the perfect venue for weddings because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and it’s got such a quirky vibe, especially in the evenings when the candles and fairy lights are glowing.
For the drinks reception, the couple had organised delicious canapés, a crisp wall and lots of drinks for their guests, and everyone said how amazing it was. While guests were enjoying drinks, we snuck out for some couple photos around the venue and OMG I am so in love with how they came out! When we got back guests were then called for the wedding breakfast, which looked incredible and all of the guests said that it was delicious. Amy and Matt opted to have their speeches first, which were a hit! My favourite part was watching everyone have a shot of Mezcal during Matt’s speech! We always recommend having your wedding speeches before your food because it means that you can really enjoy your wedding breakfast especially if you’re nervous about speeches!
After the meal was finished, the band started up and the dancefloor was packed all evening, they really knew all the best songs to get everyone dancing. The evening ended with everyone piling onto the dance floor in their sunnies and partying the night away, which was so much fun, you could tell that everyone was having a great time. The whole Amersham wedding was just the happiest occasion, from the couples’s awesome style, the fun atmosphere to the wonderful guests, it was everything I love about weddings.
I love photographing non traditional London weddings so much and Amy and Matt are absolute babes! I cannot wait to start editing their full gallery. If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer in London, get in touch.
