If you’re planning a wedding at Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
Helen and Kiran got married at Arnos Vale Cemetery, which is a gorgeous unique heritage site in Bristol with elaborate decor. It was the most beautiful wedding and even the weather played ball! he couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry was so personal. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they just wanted to party.
The Couple
Helen wore incredible slip with a lace overlay and Kiran wore a three-piece tweed suit and they both looked really gorgeous.
Everyone had such a laugh during the morning prep, we all decided just to keep it casual and relaxed which always makes for better photos! After the girls were ready, they all walked over to Arnos Vale Cemetery for the wedding where everyone else was waiting for them.
The ceremony
The ceremony was an intimate service in the Spielman Centre. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family, including a reading from one of my favs Rupi Kaur, which even I choked up at during the ceremony!
They decorated the area with gorgeous dried florals, which I loved. After the ceremony, everyone chilled outside and made the most of the sunshine, beer and lawn games. While we snuck off to do some couple photos, all the guests headed over to the Anglican Chapel for food and speeches, as a wedding photographer, trust me when I say I’ve seen a lot of speeches but honestly these were so heartwarming and sweet.
The reception
The couple had lawn games in the afternoon, and a pizza truck in the evening (ahem WEDDING GOALS). For dinner they had some incredible sharing platters and an assortment of cakes, while everyone mingled and drank coffee outside, Helen, Kiran and the two of us snuck off into the woods to grab a couple more photos of the two of them which was probably the highlight of my day! Once we got back everyone made their way back to the Spielman Centre for the first dance which quickly involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going. They finished off the evening with Jagerbombs all round.
