IF YOU’RE PLANNING AN ALTERNATIVE WEDDING OR THINKING OF GETTING MARRIED AT THE BLITZ FACTORY IN LONDON, YOU’LL FIND TONS OF INSPO FROM THIS WEDDING!
Abs and Kella got married at Orford House and then had their wedding reception at The Blitz Factory, which is a uber cool event space in London with an industrial vibe and shit tons of neon signage. (Hello, goals!) It was hands down one of the most fun and amazing weddings I’ve ever shot and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
When Abs and Kella first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a laid back stylish wedding with an intimate ceremony and amazing entertainment for the reception. Abs and Kella are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
GETTING READY
I started at Abs and Kella’s gorgeous home, where the couple were getting ready together, it was so chilled out and everyone was in a good mood! They had lots of amazing food and an kick ass playlist put together! I love it when couples get ready together, it takes away so much of the morning stress!
THE SERIOUS PART
The wedding ceremony took place at Orford House, which is just up the road from Gods Own Junkyard and The Blitz Factory. Haley from Starry Eyed had decorated the area with stunning florals, which looked incredible. It was a small legal ceremony with some beautiful readings and they even had personal vows they’d written themselves, which brought pretty much everyone to tears including me and Szerdi! After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then they were showered with confetti. Note to couples: When I say buy a shitload of confetti, this is what I mean!

THE RECEPTION
After we did the confetti photos, the four of us snuck off to get some couple portraits with everyone headed over to The Blitz Factory where the couple had organised a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon and an amazing magician, after food there were some brilliant speeches from their family and friends and then dinner was served!
For dinner they had the most amazing Mexican food from Rico Burrito, and the first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going. AND Envy The Queen made a surprise appearance in the evening. Honestly, we all know how much of a big fan I am of drag so when Envy came in I was shook! Hands down the coolest wedding entertainment ever. They finished off the evening with drinks and dancing all round.
THE COUPLE
These two got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry was so fun, it was literally like a dream. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they were so relaxed and excited to just spend the day with family and friends. I love couples like this, so I knew from the start we were going to get along.
