Bristol Wedding and Engagement Photographer
The Couple
OMG so Jaimmie and Scott are literally the coolest couple ever! They recently got engaged abroad and moved to the U.K. (which I was obviously super stoked about). I love photographing engagement sessions especially when they’re in one of my favourite cities (hey Bristol) What made it even better was that they brought along their boston terrier Beans (who basically stole the entire show and my heart.)
Bristol Engagement Session
When Jaimmie and I started chatting about locations for their engagement session I knew that we were going to get along. The locations that they ended up choosing for their Bristol engagement session were perfect. These guys really thought about the locations they wanted and everything coordinated beautifully, the locations can definitely make or break your photos and these two made the best choices.
I always think that when you’re trying to decide on your engagement session locations you want to choose places that fit in with you two as a couple and if there is somewhere that is important to the two of you then it’s always super nice to include that as well.
I got to Bristol early so that I could walk around and get a feel for the locations and take some pre-session footage. We met at the session at the Old Fishmarket where we had a couple of drinks and chatted while Beans got cuddles off literally everyone who was in the pub. After that we headed off to a couple of different locations around Bristol city centre to get some super cute engagement photos.
I know some couples are a little nervous about having engagement photography sessions and I TOTALLY get it. For me, when you have your engagement photography session, I want to make sure you guys are super comfortable which is why I always like to dedicate a little bit of time at the beginning to getting a coffee (read: wine)
There is something I love about photographing Bristol engagement session in the late afternoon evenings because the lighting is always super pretty.
The Engagement Photo Session
During the session we kept things really natural and relaxed and just hung out and explored Bristol City Centre. I think that it’s important to keep things very natural and light hearted during an engagement photo session, that way we get the best photographs and nothing feels too awkward!
Being a Bristol engagement photographer means that I get to explore all of the gorgeous quirky parts of Bristol. After taking a couple of photographs at St. Nicholas Market, we headed over to Stokes Croft to get some more quirky photos by the graffiti. Jaimmie and Scott also had a mini highlight video which was super fun to film whilst taking their photos. I’m loving mini highlight videos at the minute, they are a super cool alternative way to announce your engagement and they’re great to share with your family and friends.
I had such a blast shooting these guys, we were literally having so much fun that we completely lost track of time and we were still shooting way into the evening but it was so worth it.
Here’s their uber cool Bristol Engagement Photography Session!
