When Julia and Stefan first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most relaxed autumnal wedding with an intimate ceremony and canapes and drinks for the reception. Julia and Stefan are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Bridal prep
I started at Oldwalls, where the bridal party were getting ready, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Julia wore a gorgeous dress made by her mum (icon!!) and Stefan wore a stylish tweed suit and they both looked really gorgeous. These two are such a cool couple and I am still obsessing over Julia’s dress!!
The ceremony
The wedding took place in the Oak Room at Oldwalls, and was a romantic legal ceremony. They had an intimate registrar led, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then the celebrations began.
The afternoon
The wedding reception took place in the bar area of Oldwalls, which they’d decorated with gorgeous florals. Oldwalls is such a beautiful venue so you really don’t need to do much to decorate it, which I love. The whole day was so stunning.
It was a drizzly day, which didn’t bother them at all. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we took portrait photos. My favourite photo from our couples session is the one of Julia and Stefan at golden hour. Check it out below!
During the reception they had drinks at the bar, which made the reception really chilled. For the wedding breakfast they had proper wedding grub, and it was loved by all the guests. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the party got started. They also had an 80’s band, which was a huge hit.
These two are the sweetest couple ever! It was such a pleasure to photograph their big day.
