If you’re planning a fun and colourful Walthamstow wedding, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
When Meredith and Josh first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a really fun colourful wedding with an intimate ceremony, a route master bus and some amazing food for the reception. Meredith and Josh are just the loveliest people and we couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The wedding took place at Waltham Forest Town Hall, and was a really sweet intimate ceremony. They had some beautiful readings by each of their mums which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then we headed outside to make the most of the gorgeous weather and then all got on the party bus to the reception. I LOVE route master buses for wedding transport, not only are they super practical but they also provide a great opportunity to get some snaps of all the fun along the way!
The party
The wedding reception took place at Orford House in Walthamstow, which they’d decorated with lots of beautiful florals and pops of pink. It looked so good and to top it off, it was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed drinks at the bar, we wandered around the city doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from the couples session is the one of the two of them in the early evening while the sun was setting. Check it out below!
During the afternoon, they also had an amazing confetti tunnel, which was SO much fun. I know I’ve said it before but THIS is what I mean when I say you need enough confetti! For the wedding breakfast they had a slap up meal, and it was loved by all the guests. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the dancefloor was packed all evening.
Shout out to Kaye and Jess for shooting, I think we can all agree they absolutely smashed it!
Here is Meredith and Josh’s love story in photos! I can’t wait to start editing these, if you’re looking for a fun and colourful wedding photographer, get in touch!
