Owain and Keris got married last summer at the gorgeous Oldwalls, which is a beautiful wedding venue nestled away in the Gower, South Wales. Thanks to Ryan Welch for having me along as their second photographer. Every South Wales Wedding Photographer know how incredible Oldwalls is and Keris and Owain’s wedding day was no exception. It was a gorgeous day filled with chic decor and and the sun shone all day long!
The excitement before the wedding
Owain got ready In one of the cottages at Oldwalls with his brother/best man, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. He then walked the short distance to get to the ceremony. Keris got ready at the beautiful Mulberry House with her bridal party. The wedding party travelled to the ceremony in a fancy wedding car.
The serious part
The ceremony was an intimate affair in the beautiful main room at Oldwalls. The main room in Oldwalls is beautiful with ceiling to floor windows, it is literally a wedding photographer’s dream! During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was such a personal service and so emotional.
The reception
The reception was out in the garden at the venue. They chose Oldwalls because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. It was a very chic wedding, which meant that everything was very minimal but very intentional. The couple had a cocktail reception and an Ice Cream cart with quirky flavours which everyone loved given the hot weather! I love photographing weddings at Oldwalls because the grounds are absolutely amazing and you’re only a stone throw away from gorgeous areas like Three Cliffs Bay.
They decorated the venue with gorgeous tealights and foliage decor and because it was a summer wedding, it really added to the chic atmosphere.
For dinner they had proper wedding grub, which was loved by all the guests. The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they finished off the evening with a ‘last dance’.
The best part of the day was the speeches, because it gave the day a lighthearted mood. They also had karaoke during the party – it was brilliant fun!
