Tasha and Christo got married at the gorgeous Winchester House, in London. It was a super fun fusion wedding, with wildflowers everywhere, a beautiful intimate ceremony and an open bar to keep guests entertained.
The Big Day
I have been looking forward to T+C’s day ever since they first got in touch, Tasha and Christo are the most wonderful couple with such an amazing energy and I could not wait to photograph their big day!
The ceremony took place in the main room in Winchester House and it was stunning! The room was filled with flowers and they had a violinist playing on arrival which was lovely. The ceremony included some beautiful readings from family and friends and the couple saying personal vows they’d written themselves. It was a moving occasion, full of happy tears and nervous giggles.
After the ceremony, we all headed back downstairs where we had a confetti aisle, which I always LOVE! We got some really fun photos of the confetti moment! The weather at this London wedding was a real mixed bag, but that didn’t bother them at all.
The reception was held downstairs at Winchester House. This venue is perfect for weddings because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and it’s got such a fun vibe! Especially on the dancefloor when the room is full of people having a great party.
For the drinks reception, the couple had organised cocktails such as rum punch for their guests, and everyone loved it. After some mingling and family photos guests were then called for the wedding breakfast, which was a Caribbean feast, with lots of vegan options! I know being Caribbean I might be a little bit bias but honestly it was delicious.
After the meal the couple had some incredible speeches from family and friends, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, the speeches were so clever, witty and charming that you honestly felt like you’d know Tasha and Christo for years! After speeches, we cut the cake and the DJ arrived to get the party stated, and the dancefloor was packed all evening. My favourite thing was everyone singing “She’s Royal” to the newlyweds on the dance floor and the DJ played all the best songs to get everyone dancing.
The evening ended with everyone piling on to the dance floor to dance to Candy, which was so much fun, and everyone had a great time. Tasha and Christo’s fusion wedding was everything I love about weddings, from the beautiful vows to the wonderful speeches.
